Q&A With Natalie: Milford CT Face Painter & Balloon Twister
How did you decide to start face painting and balloon twisting?
I was looking for local acting work after I returned from abroad back home to Milford CT. I heard about a casting call with Kaleidoscope for character work, and I learned face painting and balloon twisting along the way!
Do you consider yourself more of a visual artist or an actress?
Definitely an actress. My major was theatre, but my true passion is in direction and playwriting. I love every part of theatre though!
What’s your favorite part of being a face painter or balloon twister?
I love getting to do something different! Most of my work is in performing arts, so face painting and balloon twisting lets me flex other creative muscles.
What’s your superpower as a kids’ party entertainer?
Really being able to bring characters to life. I love getting to improv with kids as a fairy or pirate, because they love asking questions and you have to be really clever to come up with answers quickly. The one-on-one interactions you can have at a kids party are a really unique experience you can’t get on a stage.
What’s one thing every party client should know?
The more you can communicate with us before your event, the better! Especially if you live in a condo complex, or if your event is on a large campus, arrival instructions will help a lot when the GPS gets lost (and it has!)
